Why Private Lessons?

Each child is different and has different needs. Also, each parent has different expectations for what they would like to see their child accomplish in the water. Private lessons make perfect sense to us. We can teach your child in the way they need to be taught and can mold our own swim instruction program around what you are looking for. From kids that are scared of the water to future Olympians, private lessons let us cover it all.

12 children maximum per class. 8-week session with a 9th week (for makeup classes). No other makeups will be available for missed classes. No prorated pricing; participants must register for complete sessions. Choose Your Day: Tuesday or Sunday

Aqua Squids Fall/Winter Swim Team
Esterbrook Lane Location Only

Stroke mechanics will be the highlight of our program. The program will involve proper stroke mechanics, starts and finishes, as well as turns. The Aqua Squids Team is not about endurance and lap swimming, but rather improving young swimmer's techniques. With proper mechanics comes speed! Optional competitions will be available. Coaches will provide a list of meets for the swimmers to take advantage of during the season. All meet entrance fees will be the responsibility of the swimmer. Note: 20 -meter practice pool, no diving. Due to the group nature of this program, no make-ups will be provided for missed sessions.

AFC is proud to offer a youth developmental clinic! Your child can be part of a "swim team" atmosphere without the pressure of competition! This club is designed to teach mechanics for the four basic strokes and condition your children so they can grow at their own pace. 18 spots open. Great precursor to Aqua•Squids Swim team! Note: Due to the group nature of this program, no make-ups will be provided for missed sessions.

Adult Morning Swim (High School+)
Esterbrook Lane Location Only

Swim program geared towards USA Master's Swim Training, triathlete swim training and morning workout warriors. Workouts will be competitive-style training and will include work on all four competitive strokes. Workouts will also be tailored to work with individual's goals as discussed with coaching staff.

Tune up for the outdoor season with clinics covering the
four basic strokes with Head Coach Chris Howie.


SWIM LESSON POLICIES:
  1. Swim lesson packages are sold in sets of eight (8) half-hour sessions.
  2. Your swim Instructor will schedule lessons the same day and time each week.
  3. If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson due to sickness, emergency or other unexpected situation, we would ask you call the pool staff at (856) 751-5177 x 1266 to leave a message. Your instructor will reschedule or make arrangements for your next lesson. If you fail to notify your instructors, you may be charged for this session.
  4. Your instructor will do the same for you if they should need to cancel or postpone for some unforeseen reason.
  5. Lessons may not be carried for more than 90 days. This is due to bookkeeping purposes. We have excellent instructors and a long wait list, so your cooperation is appreciated.
  6. Parents: you may not swim during your child's lesson unless it is a "Water Babies" class. Students tend to become distracted and will not benefit from the lesson.
  7. Costs are outlined in this brochure, please note them.
  8. Unfortunately we do not have a parent's bathroom and we ask that you not allow your children to use the bathroom without parental supervision. Please be sensitive and courteous to other members. Please enter and exit from the same door. Children may not be in the changing area of the men's or women's locker rooms.
  9. Refunds will not be given for unused lessons. In the event the instructor cannot finish your package, or you elect to switch instructors, please alert the Aquatic Director and another instructor will be provided.
